For the fourth consecutive year, the Microsoft Excel World Championship returns to the iconic HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas. The 2026 Finals of the Microsoft Excel World Championship and the Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge will take place in this purpose-built esports venue inside the Luxor Hotel, featuring a spectacular 50-foot LED video wall.
Known for hosting premier esports events, HyperX Esports Arena has welcomed competitions such as the League of Legends All-Star Event, the NHL Gaming World Championship, and the NBA 2K League The Turn. When and where is The Active Cell Training Camp taking place?
The Active Cell will take place from November 30th to December 2nd at the Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas. Last Chance Qualifiation Round happening on November 30 and the Finals of the Microsoft Excel World Championship and Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge will happen at the same dates as The Active Cell, both in the training camp venue and at the HyperX Esports Arena in the Luxor Hotel.
How do I register for the The Active Cell?
To register for The Active Cell you need to buy either a regular or student ticket on the Shop page. Tickets at the discounted price are available for students.
What is the registration fee for The Active Cell?
The full price for a regular 3-day ticket is $1499 and student for $849!
Purchasing your ticket in advance will get you a better price.

The Training Camp offers hands-on masterclasses on various Microsoft Excel and financial modeling topics at an intermediate level. These include Power Query, Visualisation, AI, Python, Spreadsheet design, building a financial model, PowerBI, and many more.

Yes, everyone who attended all three days of The Active Cell Training Camp will receive a Certificate of Completion. Moreover, that person can receive up to 14 CPE Credits for attending all masterclasses at the training camp.

Are laptops needed for The Active Cell?
Bringing your own laptop will definitely be useful since practical Excel and Financial Modeling examples will be taught in class using real-life business cases.
Additionally, you will need your own laptop to participate in the Last Chance Qualification Round.
Training Camp venue is equipped with comfortable tables and sockets to charge your laptop.
Will there be food & beverage included at The Active Cell?
Free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. There will be 1.5h lunch breaks in each Training Camp day to enjoy free lunch available for all Training Camp attendees.
What level of Finance/Excel is recommended to attend the event?
If you have Microsoft Excel and/or financial basic skills and want to learn more about these respective fields, you’re welcome to attend. There is no need to be a Finance/Excel pro to get value from the training camp.
