When and where is The Active Cell Training Camp taking place?
The Active Cell will take place from December 1nd to 3rd at the Luxor Hotel, Las Vegas. The Finals of the Microsoft Excel World Championship and Microsoft Excel Collegiate Challenge will happen on December 2-3 at the HyperX Esports Arena in the Luxor Hotel.
How do I register for the Training Camp?
To register for The Active Cell you need to buy either a regular or VIP ticket on the Shop page. Tickets at the discounted price are available for students.
What is the registration fee for the Training Camp?
The full price for a regular 3-day ticket is $1249, student 3-day ticket is $849 and a VIP ticket is $2,499.
Purchasing your ticket in advance will get you a better price.

What topics and sessions will be covered at the Training Camp?
The Training Camp offers hands-on masterclasses on various MS Excel and financial modeling topics at the beginner and intermediate levels. These include Power Query, Power Automate, Spreadsheet design, building a financial model, PowerBI, and many more.

Who are the keynote speakers and presenters at the Training Camp?
Training Camp masterclasses are presented by Excel & Financial Modeling world champions, Excel MVPs and industry experts, such as: Danielle Stein Fairhurst, Diarmuid Early, Jon Acampora, David Brown, Oz du Soleil, Andrew Grigolyunovich, Andrew Ngai, Ian Schnoor, Giles Male, Chris Dutton and others.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the Training Camp?
Yes, everyone who attended all three days of The Active Cell Training Camp will receive a Certificate of Completion. Moreover, that person can receive 14 CPE Credits for attending all masterclasses at the training camp.

Are laptops needed for Training Camp?
Bringing your own laptop will definitely be useful since practical Excel and Financial Modeling examples will be taught in class using real-life business cases.
Additionally, you will need your own laptop to participate in the Last Chance Qualification Round.
Training Camp venue is equipped with comfortable tables and sockets to charge your laptop.
Will there be food & beverage included at the Training Camp and Finals of the MEWC?
Free snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are provided. There will be 1.5h lunch breaks in each Training Camp day to enjoy free lunch available for all Training Camp attendees.
What level of Finance/Excel is recommended to attend the event?
If you have MS Excel and/or financial basic skills and want to learn more about these respective fields, you’re welcome to attend. There is no need to be a Finance/Excel pro to get value from the training camp.
